CRAIG BLEWITT | Associate Director | Practice Corrections Sector Lead

BRISBANE

"I love the complexity of correctional architecture and the challenge of designing therapeutic environments that promote rehabilitation. As a correctional architect, you have a heavy responsibility and an incredible opportunity to create real and lasting change in the community by designing facilities that deinstitutionalise and normalise the prison experience, preparing prisoners for reintegration back into the community upon release.”

With more than a decade specialising in corrections, Craig is one of our most experienced correctional architects and brings rare insights into therapeutic and rehabilitative design and state-of-the-art security measures. As correctional sector lead in our Brisbane Studio, Craig manages all Queensland correctional and justice projects and also assists with our large scale prison projects across Australia.

His attention to detail, specialist knowledge and commitment to collaboration with clients, consultants and builders, in partnership with the Guymer Bailey team, has resulted in a proven track record of high-quality built outcomes and some of Australia's most forward-thinking, rehabilitation-focused correctional facilities.
